Our method
Find the answer. Check the source.
SewIndex brings together model-specific information from manuals and manufacturer documents.
Start with the exact model
Full model codes, suffixes and regional versions matter. A shared manual or similar name does not make two machines identical or their parts interchangeable.
Keep useful details with the answer
We identify the document, edition and page used for each answer. Recommendations stay recommendations; fabric, setup and safety restrictions stay with the value. When sources disagree or do not answer a question, we say so.
Review and limitations
Source research and the finished page are reviewed separately. Earlier source reviews may cover samples rather than every statement; where applicable, their limits are described on the profile. AI assists with organizing evidence and preparing the site. We do not claim hands-on testing, manufacturer certification or complete coverage of every model.
Find the right document
Instruction manuals, parts books, service manuals and catalogs serve different tasks. A source-document link identifies a file checked against the edition used here on a stated date. A manufacturer’s manual listing may offer different files. Publishers can replace downloads; check the edition before following page references. SewIndex does not host the PDFs.
