Follow an answer to its evidence

Find the source document and page behind an answer.

Read conditions before the answer

Conditions can limit region, fabric, model suffix, setup or safety. Keep them with the answer rather than treating a short summary as a complete procedure.

Open the supporting references

Open “Sources and pages” beside the answer. The document title, edition and PDF/printed page numbers help you find the same passage. A manufacturer’s current manual listing may offer a different edition.

Use the correction route

An unanswered question means we have not confirmed the answer. A conflict keeps disagreement visible. To report a correction, include the exact page, disputed answer, source edition and locators. Review of the website and review of the source evidence are separate steps.

Follow a real example

Janome DC3018

Follow these original conditions and the full illustrated procedure. This feed-dog answer does not establish accessory fit or a replacement bobbin.

Feed — Drop feed operation

  • Regular sewing needs feed dog up; turn handwheel toward operator to check after setting lever up.
  • Exact JanomeDC3018 only; see full cited illustrated procedure. Source access does not grant PDF redistribution or sale.

Right lowers feed dog for button sewing etc.; left raises when machine starts.

Trace the retained evidence

Not established — Bobbin: Class or fit: No standardized bobbin class/part number/substitution established.

This is one selected answer, not the whole machine record or a complete procedure. Publisher listings, retained editions and current byte observations have different scopes. No hosted manual bytes or retail compatibility approval are offered here.
