What do you need help with?

What does the speed slider control in each documented mode?

Before you use this answer

Read all original utility/satin WidthControl, controller, embroidery and reset conditions. A control mode does not establish maximum stitch width or unknown maximum speeds.

Needle, bobbin & presser-foot details

Read the model-specific requirements with each answer before choosing parts.

Needle

Fabric thread point conditions

  • Match the exact fabric row, thread and needle using the complete table, trial sew first, and never use thread of 20 weight or lower; inappropriate combinations may cause injury or malfunction.

Use 65/9-75/11 with 60-90 weight polyester or 50-80 weight cotton/silk for lightweight fabrics; 75/11-90/14 with 60-90 weight polyester or 50-60 weight cotton/silk for medium fabrics. For heavyweight fabric, the table pairs 100/16 with 30 weight polyester/cotton in its first row, and 90/14-100/16 with 60 weight polyester or 30-50 weight cotton/silk in its broader second row. Use ballpoint 75/11-90/14 with 50 weight thread for stretch fabrics, and a 75/11 home sewing needle for embroidery.

Bobbin

Dimensions profile material

  • Height and material are incomplete compatibility specifications and remain bound to X52800-120 or the same-type restriction; diameter and full geometry remain unknown.

The specified bobbin is plastic and 11.5 mm (approximately 7/16 inch) high.

Presser foot

Attachment mount mechanism

  • Follow the source order and use the correct foot for the selected stitch. This proves the source-native pin/notch mechanism, not a standardized low-shank class or universal-foot fit.

The documented foot snaps onto the holder: raise the needle, lock the controls, raise the presser-foot lever, press the holder's black release button, align the foot pin with the holder notch, lower the lever until the pin snaps into the notch, raise the lever to verify attachment, then unlock the controls.

Holder removal

  • Loosen the screw to remove the holder; the procedure does not instruct removing the screw itself. The source-specific holder procedure does not establish holder dimensions, generic screw-on feet or adapter compatibility.

For a foot that does not use the holder, lock the controls, remove the foot, loosen the holder screw counterclockwise and remove the holder. To reattach it, raise the lever, align the holder notch with the screw, hold the holder in place, tighten the screw clockwise and securely fasten it before unlocking the controls.

Shank class

Not yet verified
  • Not yet verified: The reviewed exact-manual pages do not name a standardized low-, high- or slant-shank class.

Shank type

  • Only exact accepted Aurora BLMAR and this retained Baby Lock August2025 accessory catalog; other names, suffixes, generations and regions remain separate.
  • This is a manufacturer chart classification, not dimensions, a universal adapter/holder promise, an offered retail unit, supplied equipment or proof that every accessory in the group fits. Follow exact manual and accessory conditions.
  • Keep the printed G/L code: G is the accessory group; L uses the existing evidence engine low-shank mapping. No measured shank height, interchangeable holder or generic foot fit is established.

Low shank (the OEM group/shank chart prints G/L).

Specifications & documented facts

Specifications apply to the named model and document edition. Read any setup, fabric or safety requirements with the answer.

Performance & stitch capabilities

Speed control conditions

  • Start/Stop cannot initiate sewing while the foot controller is connected, the foot controller cannot be used for embroidery, and Width Control should be returned to OFF afterward.

For utility-stitch sewing, the slider adjusts sewing speed; with the foot controller connected it sets that controller's maximum. When Width Control is enabled for satin stitching, the slider controls width and the foot controller controls speed.

Owner features

Cleaning

  • Do not oil the bobbin case; do not use a scratched or burred case; correctly install the case and removed covers before use.

Raise the needle, turn the machine off and unplug it, remove the documented covers, needle, foot and bobbin case, then use a cleaning brush or vacuum to clear lint and dust from the race, bobbin thread sensor and surrounding area before reinstalling the case in the illustrated alignment.

Care, setup & service references

Use the full source procedure and its safety precautions. A short referenced answer is not a substitute for service documentation or qualified electrical/mechanical repair.

Service-manual availability and service-only procedures remain unestablished unless separately cataloged and reviewed.

Coverage and source-review limits

Model-specific manuals cover bobbins, needles, feet, care and sewing speeds where stated. Standard shank class, broader substitutions and third-party foot compatibility remain unconfirmed.

Still to confirm

An unanswered question does not mean a part is incompatible. We have not confirmed enough information to recommend it.

Presser foot — Shank class: Not established Full recorded limit & conditions →

Other names, regional versions, production history, further specifications and documents are not fully covered here. Their absence is not a “none exist” finding.

Next evidence targets

  • Home-sewing needle category does not establish a formal system code; retain fabric/thread/size conditions.
  • Shank class, third-party adapters, diameter, hook type and unrestricted replacement fit remain unestablished.
  • Optional accessory listings, machine configurations and operating modes retain their original scope.

These are research questions, not claims that the missing relationship exists.
