What do you need help with?
Which bobbin class, part, material and height does the guide identify?
Before you use this answer
Read all original supplied/same-type and model conditions. These literal OEM references do not establish diameter, substitutes, a later revision or every Class15 sales unit.
Documents and page references →Which needle category and fabric/thread choices does the guide give?
Before you use this answer
Home-sewing category wording is not a formal system code. Use the full original fabric/thread/point chart with every special-use and heavy-fabric row; no one-size recommendation.
Documents and page references →How do I attach the foot and remove its holder?
Before you use this answer
Follow the complete lock-control, alignment, secure-attachment and stitch-specific conditions. The holder procedure does not establish shank class, generic adapters or aftermarket fit.
Documents and page references →How should I clean and oil the machine?
Before you use this answer
Read the full original unplugging, removal, alignment and reassembly procedure. Preserve the no-user-oiling direction; technician lubrication is not established.
Documents and page references →What does the speed slider control in each documented mode?
Before you use this answer
Read all original utility/satin WidthControl, controller, embroidery and reset conditions. A control mode does not establish maximum stitch width or unknown maximum speeds.
Documents and page references →How do I change and orient the needle?
Before you use this answer
Retain every original needle-plate protection, control-locking, straight-needle, stopper and screw-tightening instruction; read the full illustrated procedure.

Needle
System type
- This does not identify an industrial/commercial needle-system code or authorize an unlisted exact needle product.
Use recommended home sewing machine needles in the documented size range of 65/9 through 100/16.
Sources and pages
Fabric thread point conditions
- Match the exact table row, trial sew first, and never use thread of 20 weight or lower.
Use thread in the documented 30-90 weight range. For lightweight fabric use 65/9-75/11 with 60-90 polyester or 50-80 cotton/silk; for medium fabric use 75/11-90/14 with 60-90 polyester or 50-60 cotton/silk. For heavyweight denim/canvas, the table pairs 100/16 with 30-weight polyester/cotton, or 90/14-100/16 with 60-weight polyester or 30-50 cotton/silk. For stretch fabric use ballpoint 75/11-90/14 with 50-weight cotton/polyester/silk. For top-stitching, the table pairs 90/14-100/16 with 30-weight polyester/cotton or 75/11-90/14 with 50-60 weight polyester/cotton. When using transparent nylon thread, use a home sewing machine topstitching needle regardless of fabric or thread. For embroidery use 75/11, or 90/14 on heavier fabric such as denim.

Needle insertion
- Use only a recommended straight home sewing machine needle and follow the complete safety order on pages 41-42.
Raise the needle, cover the needle-plate hole with fabric or paper, lock the controls, loosen the needle-clamp screw counterclockwise and remove the old needle. Insert a straight replacement with its flat side toward the rear until it touches the stopper, securely tighten the clamp screw clockwise, then unlock the controls.

Bobbin
OEM part number
- No substitute part number or cross-brand equivalence is established.
Use the included bobbin or the same type, identified as X52800-120.
Sources and pages
Class system
- This is exact BLMCC evidence tied to X52800-120 or the same type; it does not establish unrestricted Class 15 or cross-brand interchangeability.
The manual identifies X52800-120 as a Class 15 type bobbin.
Sources and pages
Dimensions profile material
- Only the depicted height and material are established; diameter and complete geometry remain unknown, and the claim remains bound to X52800-120 or the same-type restriction.
The specified bobbin is plastic and 11.5 mm (approximately 7/16 inch) high.

Attachment mount mechanism
- Follow the source order and use the correct foot for the selected stitch. This proves the source-native pin/notch mechanism, not a standardized shank class or universal-foot fit.
Raise the needle, lock the controls, raise the presser-foot lever, press the holder's black release button, align the foot pin with the holder notch, lower the lever until the pin snaps into the notch, raise the lever to verify attachment, then unlock the controls.
Sources and pages
Holder removal
- Loosen the screw to remove the holder; do not remove the screw itself. The source does not state an unlock step in this holder procedure. The source-specific procedure does not establish dimensions, generic screw-on feet or adapter compatibility.
For cleaning or a foot that does not use the holder, lock the controls, remove the foot, loosen the holder screw toward the back of the machine counterclockwise and remove the holder. To reattach it, raise the lever, align the holder with the lower-left side of the presser bar, hold it in place, and securely tighten the screw toward you clockwise.

OEM compatibility boundary
- No universal, third-party, cross-brand or standardized-shank compatibility is asserted.
Use presser feet designed specifically for this machine and the correct foot for the selected stitch.

Shank class
Not yet verified- Not yet verified: The reviewed exact-manual pages do not name a standardized low-, high- or slant-shank class.
Shank type
- Only exact accepted Accord BLMCC and this retained Baby Lock August2025 accessory catalog; other names, suffixes, generations and regions remain separate.
- This is a manufacturer chart classification, not dimensions, a universal adapter/holder promise, an offered retail unit, supplied equipment or proof that every accessory in the group fits. Follow exact manual and accessory conditions.
- Keep the printed G/L code: G is the accessory group; L uses the existing evidence engine low-shank mapping. No measured shank height, interchangeable holder or generic foot fit is established.
Low shank (the OEM group/shank chart prints G/L).

Specifications & documented facts
Specifications apply to the named model and document edition. Read any setup, fabric or safety requirements with the answer.
Performance & stitch capabilities
Speed control conditions
- No numeric sewing or embroidery speed ceiling is asserted; the pictured 650 spm setting is only the selected setting shown in the source.
During sewing, the slider adjusts sewing speed. With the foot controller in use, the pedal starts and stops sewing and the slider sets its maximum; Start/Stop cannot initiate sewing and the foot controller cannot be used for embroidery. With Width Control ON for satin stitching, the slider controls width and the foot controller controls speed; return Width Control to OFF afterward. Max Embroidery Speed is an adjustable setting that persists until changed and should be reduced for thin, thick or heavy fabrics.
Sources and pages
Maximum sewing speed
Not yet verified- Not yet verified: The reviewed exact-manual pages do not state a numeric maximum sewing speed.
Maximum embroidery speed
Not yet verified- Not yet verified: The reviewed page shows an adjustable Max Embroidery Speed setting but does not establish an absolute numeric machine maximum.
Owner features
Lubrication
- If the handwheel becomes difficult to turn or unusual noise occurs, stop and contact an authorized Baby Lock retailer. This does not describe technician servicing.
Do not oil the machine as an owner; the manual says sufficient oil was applied during manufacture, making periodic owner oiling unnecessary.
Sources and pages
Cleaning
- Do not oil the bobbin case. If the bobbin case is scratched, contact an authorized Baby Lock retailer for a new one; arrange a regular maintenance check when the machine displays its maintenance message.
Raise the needle, turn the machine off and unplug it, raise the presser-foot lever, and remove the needle, presser foot and presser-foot holder. Remove the attached flat-bed attachment or embroidery unit, remove the needle-plate cover and bobbin case, then brush or vacuum lint and dust from the race, bobbin thread sensor and surrounding area. Reinstall the bobbin case with the triangle on the case aligned to the circle on the machine, insert the needle-plate-cover tabs, and replace the cover.
