What do you need help with?
Which bobbin class, part, material and height does the guide identify?
Before you use this answer
Read all original supplied/same-type and model conditions. These literal OEM references do not establish diameter, substitutes, a later revision or every Class15 sales unit.
Documents and page references →Which needle category and fabric/thread choices does the guide give?
Before you use this answer
Home-sewing category wording is not a formal system code. Use the full original fabric/thread/point chart with every special-use and heavy-fabric row; no one-size recommendation.
Documents and page references →How do I attach the foot and remove its holder?
Before you use this answer
Follow the complete lock-control, alignment, secure-attachment and stitch-specific conditions. The holder procedure does not establish shank class, generic adapters or aftermarket fit.
Documents and page references →How should I clean and oil the machine?
Before you use this answer
Read the full original unplugging, removal, alignment and reassembly procedure. Preserve the no-user-oiling direction; technician lubrication is not established.
Documents and page references →How do I load the bobbin?
Before you use this answer
Follow the original key/button locking, foot and thread-guide sequence with the complete illustrations; loading direction does not broaden bobbin fit.
Documents and page references →How do I change and orient the needle?
Before you use this answer
Retain every original needle-plate protection, control-locking, straight-needle, stopper and screw-tightening instruction; read the full illustrated procedure.

Needle
System type and range
- Choose the needle and thread for the exact fabric and thickness; no industrial-system code or unlisted exact product is established.
Use home sewing machine needles in sizes 65/9 through 100/16; thread range is 30-90 weight, and thread of 20 weight or lower must not be used.
Sources and pages
Fabric thread point conditions
- Preserve every table row, fabric applicability set, thread type/weight and needle-size association; sew trial stitches and do not substitute one row for another.
For lightweight fabrics use polyester 60-90 or cotton/silk 50-80 with 65/9-75/11. For medium fabrics use polyester 60-90 or cotton/silk 50-60 with 75/11-90/14. For denim at 12 ounces or more, canvas, or the other examples in that row, use polyester or cotton 30 with 100/16. In the separate row for denim at 12 ounces or more, canvas, tweed, corduroy, velour, melton wool, vinyl-coated fabric, and the other examples in that row, use polyester 60 or cotton/silk 30-50 with 90/14-100/16. For stretch fabrics use polyester, cotton or silk 50 with ballpoint 75/11-90/14. For top-stitching use polyester/cotton 30 with 90/14-100/16, or weight 50-60 with 75/11-90/14. Use a home-sewing topstitching needle with transparent nylon, and 75/11 for embroidery.

Needle insertion
- Do not use a bent needle or excessive force; incomplete insertion or tightening may break the needle or damage the machine.
Raise the needle, cover the needle-plate hole with fabric or paper, and lock all keys and buttons. Hold the needle, loosen the clamp screw toward you counterclockwise, and remove it. Insert a straight replacement flat-side rear until it touches the stopper, then securely tighten clockwise and unlock the controls.

Bobbin
Class part material
- Using other bobbins may damage the machine. This does not establish Class 15J equivalence, unrestricted interchangeability or cross-brand fit.
Use only the supplied plastic bobbin or the same type, identified as X52800-120; the manual literally identifies X52800-120 as a Class 15 type bobbin.

Dimensions profile
- Only height and plastic material are established; diameter and complete geometry remain unknown.
The specified X52800-120 bobbin is 11.5 mm (approximately 7/16 inch) high.
Sources and pages
Loading and insertion
- Use a correctly wound bobbin and preserve the pictured direction and key-lock safety order; this procedure does not broaden bobbin compatibility.
Raise the needle, lock all keys and operation buttons, raise the presser foot and remove the cover. Insert the bobbin so thread unwinds left, hold it down and guide the thread around the needle-plate-cover tab and through its slit.

Attachment mount mechanism
- Use the foot specified for the selected stitch; this proves only the source-native pin/notch mechanism, not a standardized shank or universal fit.
Raise the needle, lock all keys and buttons, raise the presser foot and press the holder's black rear button. Align the replacement foot pin with the holder notch, lower the lever until it snaps in, then raise the lever to verify secure attachment and unlock the controls.
Sources and pages
Holder removal
- The holder is removed for cleaning or feet that do not use it; a loose holder may fall and let the needle strike, bend or break.
Lock the controls, remove the foot and loosen the holder screw toward the back of the machine counterclockwise. To reattach, lock the controls, raise the lever, align the holder notch with the screw, hold the holder and securely tighten the screw toward you clockwise before unlocking.

OEM compatibility boundary
- No universal, third-party, cross-brand or standardized-shank compatibility is asserted.
Use the appropriate presser foot for the selected stitch and only presser feet designed specifically for this machine.

Optional walking foot
- This exact OEM listing does not establish mount dimensions, a standardized shank or cross-brand fit.
Baby Lock walking foot BLG-WF is listed as an optional accessory for this machine.

Shank class
Not yet verified- Not yet verified: The reviewed exact-manual pages do not name a standardized low-, high- or slant-shank class.
Shank type
- Only exact accepted Verve BLMVR and this retained Baby Lock August2025 accessory catalog; other names, suffixes, generations and regions remain separate.
- This is a manufacturer chart classification, not dimensions, a universal adapter/holder promise, an offered retail unit, supplied equipment or proof that every accessory in the group fits. Follow exact manual and accessory conditions.
- Keep the printed G/L code: G is the accessory group; L uses the existing evidence engine low-shank mapping. No measured shank height, interchangeable holder or generic foot fit is established.
Low shank (the OEM group/shank chart prints G/L).

Performance & stitch capabilities
Maximum sewing speed
Not yet verified- Not yet verified: The reviewed exact-manual pages do not establish a numeric maximum sewing speed.
Maximum embroidery speed
Not yet verified- Not yet verified: The reviewed exact-manual pages do not establish a numeric maximum embroidery speed.
Maximum utility stitch width
- Only exact accepted Verve BLMVR and the retained September2019 OEM specification. Current governed exact source association is reused; LBSP is a document identifier, not an alternate machine code.
- The source explicitly qualifies this as Utility stitch width. Do not turn it into a maximum for all decorative stitches, embroidery, sideways sewing, twin needles or fitted accessories. Keep exact manual needle, foot and stitch-selection conditions.
7 mm maximum utility stitch width.

Owner features
Cleaning
- Do not oil the bobbin case. Never use a scratched case, and verify correct case alignment or the needle may break.
Raise the needle, turn the machine off and unplug it. Remove the needle, presser foot, holder, attached flat-bed or embroidery unit, needle-plate cover and bobbin case. Brush or vacuum lint and dust from the race, bobbin-thread sensor and surrounding area. Reinstall the case with its triangle mark aligned to the machine's circle mark, then replace the cover.

Owner lubrication
- If the handwheel becomes difficult to turn or unusual noise occurs, stop using the machine and contact an authorized Baby Lock retailer. This does not establish technician or service lubrication policy.
The machine must not be oiled by the user; the manual says its factory-applied oil makes periodic owner oiling unnecessary.

Technician lubrication
Not yet verified- Not yet verified: The reviewed owner-guide pages do not establish technician or service lubrication policy.
Care, setup & service references
Use the full source procedure and its safety precautions. A short referenced answer is not a substitute for service documentation or qualified electrical/mechanical repair.
Service-manual availability and service-only procedures remain unestablished unless separately cataloged and reviewed.
Coverage and source-review limits
Model-specific manuals cover bobbins, needles, feet, care and sewing speeds where stated. Standard shank class, broader substitutions and third-party foot compatibility remain unconfirmed.
