Before choosing a part

Compatibility essentials

Start with these documented details. Read the requirements with each answer before choosing a needle, bobbin or foot.

Foot attachment

The documented presser-foot sole snaps onto the holder: place its pin beneath the holder shaft groove and push the sole upward until it engages.

Foot holder / mount

The presser-foot holder is removable and screw-mounted to the presser bar; reinstall it from underneath and to the left, start the screw by hand and tighten it with the screwdriver.

Needle system / designation

Use needle system 130/705H.

Requirements and sources →
Needle sizes by fabric and use

Use size 70 or 75 for lightweight fabrics, 80 or 90 for medium fabrics, and 100 for heavy fabrics as general manual guidance.

Needle, bobbin & presser-foot details

Read the model-specific requirements with each answer before choosing parts.

Needle

System

  • Select a purpose-appropriate needle point and size using the separate fabric guidance; no other needle-system substitution is established.

Use needle system 130/705H.

Sources and pages

Sizes and fabric use

  • Select the point and 130/705 variant for the exact fabric and sewing purpose; these ranges are guidance, not one universal required size.

Use size 70 or 75 for lightweight fabrics, 80 or 90 for medium fabrics, and 100 for heavy fabrics as general manual guidance.

Sources and pages

Needle insertion

  • Use a straight, good-quality 130/705H-system needle with a point and size appropriate to the fabric and purpose.

Raise the foot and needle, switch off and disconnect power, loosen the fixing screw, remove the old needle downward, then push the new needle fully upward with its flat side to the rear and tighten the screw.

Substitutions

Not yet verified
  • Not yet verified: No unlisted needle-system substitution is established by the reviewed b77 pages.

Bobbin

Winding procedure

  • Keep hands clear of moving parts; this sequence does not establish bobbin class, material, dimensions or substitutes.

Route thread through the guide and around the bobbin-winder pre-tension in the arrow direction, pass the tail through an inner bobbin hole, seat the bobbin and push the winding unit right. Hold the tail, run a few rotations and stop, cut the tail above the hole, resume winding, then move the unit left before removing the bobbin and cutting the thread.

Sources and pages

Bobbin insertion

  • The diagram controls the exact thread path; this procedure does not establish bobbin class, material, dimensions, MPN, hook orientation or substitutions.

With the needle and presser foot raised and the machine switched off, insert an evenly wound bobbin so its thread unwinds anti-clockwise, pull thread into the slit and follow the arrow markings through the guide, trim it over the cutter and replace the bobbin cover.

Sources and pages

Class material dimensions

Not yet verified
  • Not yet verified: The reviewed b77 manual pages do not state a bobbin class, material, dimensions or MPN.

Hook orientation

Not yet verified
  • Not yet verified: The reviewed b77 manual pages do not name a horizontal/vertical hook orientation or hook system.

Presser foot

Native snap on attachment

  • Switch off before changing the foot. This proves the documented sole-to-holder mechanism, not low-shank naming or generic-foot compatibility.

The documented presser-foot sole snaps onto the holder: place its pin beneath the holder shaft groove and push the sole upward until it engages.

Sources and pages

Pressure control

  • These are source recommendations based on fabric thickness, not fixed requirements or universal numeric settings.

Presser-foot pressure is adjustable: reduce it for thick fabrics and increase it for thin fabrics.

Sources and pages

Presser-foot shank · manufacturer wording

Not yet verified
  • Not yet verified: The reviewed b77 pages say presser-foot bar, holder, shaft groove and sole pin but do not name a low-, high- or slant-shank class.

Generic screw on fit

Not yet verified
  • Not yet verified: The reviewed b77 pages do not establish generic screw-on presser-foot compatibility.

Third party adapters

Not yet verified
  • Not yet verified: The reviewed b77 pages do not establish any third-party adapter fit.

Performance & stitch capabilities

Owner features

Bobbin area cleaning

  • Follow the source sequence exactly; the retained native proof contains the source typo "boobin" while the owner-facing instruction uses "bobbin".

Raise the foot, switch off and disconnect power, remove the foot, needle and stitch plate, brush the bobbin case, remove it at the needle's topmost position, and brush the shuttle race. Reinsert the bobbin case, align the bobbin-case and stitch-plate markings identically, then refit the stitch plate, bobbin cover, needle and foot in that order.

Sources and pages

Needle bar lubrication

  • The source diagram controls the exact oil points; pay attention to exposed moving parts after the cover is removed, and do not generalize the six-month interval beyond frequent use.

For frequent use, oil the needle bar every six months: switch off and disconnect power, remove the cap, screw and headframe cover, apply one drop to the arrow-marked movement points, remove the presser foot, turn the handwheel a few times, wipe excess oil and refit the cover.

Care, setup & service references

Use the full source procedure and its safety precautions. A short referenced answer is not a substitute for service documentation or qualified electrical/mechanical repair.

Service-manual availability and service-only procedures remain unestablished unless separately cataloged and reviewed.

Coverage and source-review limits

An unanswered question does not mean a part is incompatible. We have not confirmed enough information to recommend it.

Next evidence targets

  • Establish bobbin class, dimensions and replacement applicability from exact-model OEM evidence.
  • Resolve standardized shank geometry and third-party adapter fit separately from native attachment instructions.

These are research questions, not claims that the missing relationship exists.
