Needle, bobbin & presser-foot details

Read the model-specific requirements with each answer before choosing parts.

Needle

Types sizes and use

  • Choose the type and size for the material and task. This answer preserves the manual’s exact application-specific systems and ranges.

The manual lists Universal 130/705 H sizes 60-100, Jersey/Stretch 130/705 H-S, H-SES or H-SUK sizes 70-90, and application-specific needle variants.

Sources and pages

Embroidery application

  • Embroidery use only; this does not replace the manual’s other application-specific needle choices.

For embroidery, use 130/705 H-SUK needles in size 70-SUK through 90-SUK depending on embroidery thread.

Sources and pages

Bobbin

Case removal installation

  • Raise the needle, switch power off and open the bobbin cover before removal.

The machine uses a removable bobbin case with a latch; reinstall it until it clicks into place.

Presser foot

Attachment mount mechanism

  • This is the manual’s lever-and-cone BERNINA attachment. It does not prove a snap-on holder, low-shank geometry or generic screw-on-foot compatibility.

Ordinary BERNINA feet attach directly over a cone and lock with a clamping lever.

Sources and pages

Specifications apply to the named model and document edition. Read any setup, fabric or safety requirements with the answer.

Owner features

Upper threading

  • Use the appropriate spool disc with no gap between the disc and spool.

Next evidence targets

  • Establish exact bobbin class, replacement identifiers and dimensions without inferring fit from handling instructions.
  • Establish shank, generic adapter and hook-system compatibility independently of the documented procedures.
