Before choosing a part
Compatibility essentials
Start with these documented details. Read the requirements with each answer before choosing a needle, bobbin or foot.
Foot attachment
With power off, raise the bar to attach the illustrated shank; lower its cut-out over the foot pin until engagement. To remove the foot, raise it and lift the release lever.
Singer 2020 is listed as a standard sharp needle in sizes 9 (70) through 18 (110), for natural woven wool, cotton and silk; it is not recommended for double knits.

Model & names
Model
Singer HD6380
Other names, regional versions and related models have not been confirmed here. A shared manual, product line or accessory group does not identify the machine's family.
Exact retained manual and zigzag setting only. Keep the full operating conditions; this does not establish foot clearance, every stitch or accessory fit.
Keep the original fabric, thread, size and point restrictions. The printed designations do not establish equivalent systems or interchangeable third-party needles.

Needle, bobbin & presser-foot details
Read the model-specific requirements with each answer before choosing parts.
Needle
Fabric and thread selection
These are source-local recommendations and do not replace special fabric/thread requirements.
Match needle size to thread size and fabric weight. The chart recommends polyester thread on synthetic material and cotton on natural woven fabric, with the same thread above and below.
OEM product designation and fabric limits only; no generalized system interchangeability.
Singer 2020 is listed as a standard sharp needle in sizes 9 (70) through 18 (110), for natural woven wool, cotton and silk; it is not recommended for double knits.
Do not reduce the source scope to knits only or infer universal stretch-fabric suitability.
Singer 2045 is listed as a scarfed semi-ball-point needle, sizes 9 (70) through 18 (110), for natural/synthetic woven fabric, polyester blends and the listed knits, Lycra, swimsuit fabric and elastic.
Genuine Singer is a best-results recommendation, not universal exclusivity; approximate replacement frequency is not a guaranteed lifetime.
Switch off before replacement. Insert the flat side toward the back and fully upward, then tighten the clamp. Replace bent, damaged-point or blunt needles; the chart recommends frequent replacement and replacement at first thread breakage or skipping.
Not yet verified: OEM labels do not establish standardized interchangeable systems, twin-needle spacing or a complete size/clearance envelope.
Bobbin
Winding
Follow the complete winding illustrations; no automatic-full stop, bobbin class or material is inferred.
Use the spool holder and guide, wind clockwise around the winding tension discs, place the threaded bobbin on its spindle, engage right, hold the thread end and operate the pedal; cut the thread and move the spindle left before removal.
Insertion direction and subsequent thread drawing are separate actions. No class, part substitution or sibling transfer.
With power off and needle fully raised, insert with thread running counterclockwise, pass through slit A, draw clockwise into notch B, leave about 15 cm (6 inches), and replace the cover.
Switch off for needle-area threading; if pickup is difficult, check trapping by the cover or removable extension table.
Hold the upper thread, turn the handwheel toward you counterclockwise to lower and raise the needle, then pull the bobbin thread through the plate hole and place both threads behind the foot.
The troubleshooting table also references loosening lower tension "as described". No usable screw-adjustment procedure is established here; do not import one from another manual.
The tension chapter says bobbin tension is factory-set and needs no adjustment.
Not yet verified: Insertion/winding instructions do not establish bobbin class/system, dimensions, material, case part numbers or permitted substitutions.
Presser foot
Extra lift
No measured clearance, layer-count capacity or third-party foot geometry follows.
The presser foot can be raised higher to position several layers or thick fabric.
Conditional adjustment, not an instruction to reset pressure for every fabric.
Pressure is preset and ordinarily needs no fabric-weight readjustment. If adjustment is needed, use a coin: counterclockwise loosens for very thin fabric; clockwise tightens for heavy fabric.
This describes the documented holder mechanism, not a standardized low-shank interface, adapters or exact third-party fitment.
With power off, raise the bar to attach the illustrated shank; lower its cut-out over the foot pin until engagement. To remove the foot, raise it and lift the release lever.
Not yet verified: The illustrated shank/holder does not establish standardized mount geometry, dimensions, adapters or exact compatible third-party items.
Specifications & documented facts
Specifications apply to the named model and document edition. Read any setup, fabric or safety requirements with the answer.
Owner features
Unused machine
Follow the complete source power-connection diagram and actual machine rating.
Unplug the power cord when the machine is not in use.
Follow the source illustrations; keep fingers clear of the needle and cutter.
Bring the take-up lever highest with the handwheel toward you, raise the foot and remove work rearward; guide threads under and behind the foot into the faceplate-side cutter and pull down.
No inferred stitch count or promise that all patterns admit all adjustments.
The pattern selector turns in either direction; S1/S2 settings on the length dial access the other illustrated patterns, with width adjusted by its separate dial.
Switch off before changing the foot. Follow the complete selector and length/width diagrams; stop the machine when its cycle is complete, without assuming it stops itself.
The manual describes one-step buttonholes: practice on the intended fabric and stabilizer, attach the buttonhole foot, align marks, insert the button in its plate and lower the buttonhole lever gently backward.
Unplug for cleaning. The stated 0.3 W/DC 9 V applies to the LED lamp, not the global machine supply voltage or a user-replaceable mains bulb.
Keep machine and foot-control ventilation free of lint, dust and loose cloth. If its LED is damaged, stop using the machine and send it to Singer or a service agent for repair or replacement.
Not yet verified: Troubleshooting references cleaning the hook/feed dog and loosening lower tension as described, but inspected retained pages do not establish oil locations, quantity, schedule or a complete lower-tension adjustment procedure.
Safety
Power and servicing
Power-off and wall-plug disconnection are distinct prerequisites; do not restore power before safe reassembly.
Switch off before threading, needle or bobbin adjustments and foot changes. Unplug immediately after use and before cleaning, cover removal, lubrication or user servicing.
This abbreviates the full illustrated procedure; down-right/up-left tension channels and right-to-left take-up threading remain source-local.
Switch off; raise the needle to its highest point and then slightly descend it by counterclockwise handwheel rotation. Raise the foot to release tension, follow the illustrated guide and take-up path, and thread the eye front to back.
Follow the full lever/hook diagram; no twin-needle or needle-size envelope is established.
With power off and needle highest, lower the threader lever, pass the guide and hook from bottom to top, release the lever and draw the thread through the eye.
There is no single setting for all sewing; source estimates are not guarantees.
Start from upper tension 4; higher dial numbers increase tension and lower numbers reduce it. Match the setting to the stitch, fabric and thread; zigzag and decorative work generally use less tension than straight stitching.
Dial values are not promoted to physical millimetre length maxima.
Zigzag becomes denser as length approaches 0, with normal zigzag usually at 3 or below. Straight-stitch guidance uses longer stitches for heavier fabrics/thicker needle or thread and shorter stitches for lighter/finer combinations.
Conditional diagnostic list, not an exhaustive diagnosis. Switch off before needle-area checks; use the complete corresponding source procedure.
The manual lists incorrect threading, tight upper tension, thread too thick for the needle, incorrect needle insertion, thread wound around the spool-holder pin and needle damage as possible causes of upper-thread breakage.
Conditional checks only; turn power off before correcting needle-area threading.
For loose stitches, check upper/case threading, the needle-fabric-thread combination and tension. Do not pull fabric while sewing; let the feed dogs draw it under the foot.
Use the full source procedure and its safety precautions. A short referenced answer is not a substitute for service documentation or qualified electrical/mechanical repair.
Service-manual availability and service-only procedures remain unestablished unless separately cataloged and reviewed.

Still to confirm
An unanswered question does not mean a part is incompatible. We have not confirmed enough information to recommend it.
Other names, regional versions, production history, further specifications and documents are not fully covered here. Their absence is not a “none exist” finding.
Next evidence targets
Establish exact bobbin class, replacement identifiers and dimensions without inferring fit from handling instructions.
Establish shank, generic adapter and hook-system compatibility independently of the documented procedures.
These are research questions, not claims that the missing relationship exists.
